The FIA has published the technical document ahead of this weekend’s Singapore Grand Prix, and it’s McLaren and AlphaTauri who have brought the biggest update packages ahead of this weekend.
McLaren’s package includes a new front wing endplate, a new sidepod inlet and mirror mounting, updated winglets and furniture on the halo, a fully revised floor — one of the most important parts of the car under these regulations to generate downforce — a reprofiled engine cover and ‘coke’ bottle area at the rear, a revised rear brake duct design, a new rear wing endplate and an updated beam wing, which has been one of the main areas of focus for the team lately.
Lando Norris will be the only McLaren driver running the full package in Singapore. Oscar Piastri will run some of the updates before getting the rest of them for Japan.
The list for AlphaTauri is even longer. The floor is the biggest change on the AT04 car, while the diffuser, sidepod inlet, engine cover, rear suspension and rear corner of the car has also been updated for this race. The rear view mirrors have also been modified to aid airflow, the part being far more functional than simply looking at what is behind.
Here’s what the other eight teams have declared.
Red Bull: Updated floor edge and rear wing endplate
Ferrari: Reprofiled front wing flap
Mercedes: Singapore-specific larger front brake duct to aid cooling
Alpine: Updated sidepod inlet and cooling louvres; high-downforce beam wing
Alfa Romeo: Updated floor fences and geometry, front wing flaps, and diffuser expansion
Aston Martin: Updated rear corner
Haas: No updates
Williams: Larger gurney flag on the front wing
